Appeal for information after several cable thefts in Harpur Hill

Police are appealing for information after a number of satellite and telephone line cables have been cut at properties in the Harpur Hill area of Buxton.

Five incidents occurred overnight between Sunday, January 2 and Monday January 3, when cabling was cut and stolen from properties in Harpur Hill.

Offenders cut and stole cable from two properties on Burlow Road, two properties on Ripon Gardens and a property on Kirkstone Road.

Officers are urging residents in the area to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity and vehicles to police straight away to help prevent a crime from happening.

To report suspicious activity call police on the non-emergency number 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
