Police appeal to trace stolen iPhone from outside Buxton home

Police are appealing for information after a mobile phone was stolen from outside an address in Buxton.

At around 8.30am on Monday, February 2, a man was clearing snow from outside his home on Edensor Avenue, Buxton, when his red and white iPhone 6 fell out of his pocket.

The victim went inside the house to call the phone in order to trace it; however a short time later it had been switched off.

Officers are keen to speak to a woman who was seen in the area around the time of the incident. She is believed to be aged in her thirties and was seen with a young child by her side.

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of the phone is asked to contact PC Leanne Bradbury on 101, quoting crime reference 4966/15, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
