Buxton Town residents invited to set local policing priorities via Email and Post

Posted on 22nd January 2015

Officers from the Buxton Town Safer Neighbourhood Team are urging local residents to have their say on policing priorities for their community.

Officers normally host quarterly priority meetings for residents to find out more about current issues and for them to raise concerns about crime.

Police then set neighbourhood priorities to focus on for the following three months, based on feedback from the public.

Residents are now being invited to raise any neighbourhood concerns with the team by contacting them via email or post.

PC Mark Parkinson from the Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We understand our residents have busy lives and can’t always attend meetings so to make it easier for them, we’re asking them to email or post their priority suggestions and crime issues.

“Hearing the views of our local residents is really important to us so that we can tackle the issues that matter to them most in their neighbourhood.”

Current policing priorities for Buxton Town see the team tackling shoplifting, anti-social behaviour, speeding and nuisance driving.

You can get in touch with the team by emailing or writing to: Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team, Buxton Police Station, Silverlands, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 6QJ

All entries must be received by Monday, February 9th 2015.
