CCTV image released after card stolen in Buxton burglary is used

Officers investigating a burglary in Buxton have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Sometime overnight between 11pm on Saturday, December 3 and 8am the following morning, thieves gained entry to a property along Lightwood Road in Buxton by forcing open the kitchen window.

Once inside, offenders stole cash, credit and debit cards from a handbag in the hallway of the house.

Officers have now released a CCTV still of a man they would like to speak to after cards which were stolen during the burglary are believed to have been used at a cash machine on Buxton’s high street.
