Officers from the Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have been visiting youngsters at two local nursery schools to help them find out more about the work of the police.
PCSOs Rachael Blackley and Linda Cook visited the children at both Woodlings Nursery and Green Lane Nursery during the summer months.
They spoke to youngsters about the work of the police, gave them a chance to try on uniform and look inside a police vehicle.
PCSO Blackley said: “We spent time meeting the youngsters, talking to them about what we do, while giving them the chance to have a first-hand look at our uniform and equipment which we hope will give them confidence in us to help them should they ever need it.
“We carry out regular visits to nurseries and schools in the area, as it is a great way to get to know them and for them to get to know us.”
