Chapel and Chinley residents asked to set policing priorities for their community

Posted on 10th October 2014

Residents living in Chapel and Chinley are being invited to help set the priorities for their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team.

PC Andy Crosthwaite and PCSO Karen Green will be hosting their next priority meeting at Rems bar on Market Street in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The meeting is set to take place from 7pm on Tuesday, October 21.

It is a chance for residents to meet officers, find out more about current community issues and help decide the priorities to be targeted over the next few months.

The current policing priority, which was set during the July meeting, is to focus on the prevention of burglaries. This has seen the team carrying out high visibility patrols and making homeowners aware of the steps they can take to further protect themselves from becoming a victim of crime.
