Safer Neighbourhood officers work to tackle ASB in Chapel and Chinley

Posted on 3rd July 2014

Officers from the Chapel and Chinley Safer Neighbourhood Team will be heading out on the beat to clamp down on anti-social behaviour in the area.

The policing team will be increasing patrols at key times over the summer months following reports from local residents of groups of youths causing a disturbance in the neighbourhood.

PC Andy Crosthwaite and PCSO Karen Green will be heading out into the community to identify groups taking part in anti-social behaviour (ASB) as part of an initiative to combat the crime.

The team will be engaging with the youths to advise them about the consequences of ASB and the impact that their behaviour can have on residents living close by.

The team will also be interacting with youngsters to deter them from anti-social behaviour and to encourage them to take part in diversionary activities.

To report anti-social behaviour call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police. Always dial 999 in an emergency.

If you have any issues or concerns in relation to local policing please contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team on101 or visit and visit the team page.
