Officers from the Chapel and Chinley Safer Neighbourhood Team are encouraging residents to have their say on community issues.

PCSO Karen Green will be hosting a priority meeting next week and is asking local people to come along and help to set the next set of priorities for the team to focus on.

The meeting, which will run from 2pm on Tuesday, January 24 at Rems Café Bar on Market Street, is also an opportunity for residents to pick up crime prevention advice.

PCSO Karen Green from the area’s Safer Neighbourhood team said: “The views of our residents are really important to us and we do listen to any issues or concerns that they may have.

“We will then use the feedback from the meeting to help set policing priorities for us to focus on over the next few months to help improve the community for all. It will be great to see you there.”

Following the last meeting in November 2016, the team have been working to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) at Chapel Memorial Park. This has involved carrying out high-visibility patrols of the area and speaking to any groups involved with ASB about the effects of their behaviour on people living nearby.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to put forward any issues contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team on 101, or by visiting the Contact Us section of our website here
