Residents will be seeing a new face on the streets as its latest PC joins the ranks.

Adam Harrison will be joining the Gamesley and St Johns Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team alongside PCSO’s Lee Willows and Anne Gribbon.

PC Harrison joined Derbyshire Constabulary in March 2007 where he was stationed at chapel for 18 months before moving to Glossop, where he spent four years on section as a regular officer.

Adam Harrison has spent the last year working with the Glossop Crime Action Group working on proactive and intelligence led policing before taking up the role as a Safer Neighbourhood officer.

PC Harrison said: “I was looking for a new challenge so when the opportunity came up to work in the Safer Neighbourhood team I jumped at it.

“This role is really different from working with the Glossop Crime Action Group so I am looking forward to heading out into the community.

“I will be speaking to local residents about any concerns or issues in their neighbourhood and will be working hard to tackle them.”

PC Harrison has moved to the role to replace PC Lisa Driver who has moved on to section policing in Glossop.

To contact the team call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police, or email glossop.neighbourhoods@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.
