Witness appeal to trace stolen poppy collection box in Glossop

Police are appealing for information after a poppy collection box was stolen from a Glossop store.

Between 3pm and 5pm on Friday, October 31, offenders entered the Greggs store on High Street West, Glossop and stole the Royal British Legion poppy collection box from the counter.

Officers are looking to trace a man who was seen in the store around the time of the incident.

He is described as white, of skinny build, with short brown hair and 5ft 8 tall. He was seen wearing a black hoody with neon yellow/green ‘Gio Gio’ branding and matching black tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with any information about the incident, or who may have seen someone matching the description of the man, is asked to contact PCSO Rachael Blackley on 101, quoting crime number 46124/14.
