Information appeal following Glossop bike thefts

Police are appealing for information after a child’s bike and a moped were stolen, and then later recovered, in Glossop.

Between 3.15pm and 5.35pm on Saturday, March 7, offenders stole a black and red coloured Derbi X-Race moped from outside a property on Surrey Street, Glossop.

The bike was later found abandoned on a pathway leading from Surrey Street to Spire Hollin with damage caused to the ignition.

On the same day, a pink and white coloured Muddy Fox mountain bike was stolen from the side of a property on Elm Grove in Glossop between 3pm and 5.45pm.

The mountain bike was also recovered a short time later on a pathway close to Surrey Street following police patrols.

Anyone with any information about the thefts is asked to contact PC Andrew Prince on 101, quoting crime number 9549/15.
