Police appeal after WW1 memorial tree is damaged in Glossop

Officers from the Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Team are appealing for information after vandals targeted a recently planted tree in the town centre.

A tree, which was planted to commemorate the anniversary of World War One, was snapped in half on Norfolk Square in Glossop.

The damage is believed to have taken place sometime between 5pm on Friday, May 1 and 6am on Saturday, May 2.

Anyone with any information about the damage is asked to contact PCSO Jack Barlow on 101, quoting crime number 18802/15.
