Theft of a charity collection box from Glossop shop prompts police appeal

Police are appealing for information after a charity collection box was stolen from a clothing and giftware shop in Glossop.

Between 12pm and 1pm on Wednesday, September 2, a man stole a Manchester Dogs Home money collection box from a table next to the counter at Jakasta on George Street.

The man is described as white, of very slim build, around 5'7" in height with short dark hair. He was wearing black clothing and spoke with a Mancunian accent.

Anyone with information is urged to contact PC Lisa Riley at Glossop Police Station on 101 quoting crime number 37935/15.
