Information appeal following alleged assault in Glossop

Police investigating an alleged assault in Glossop are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A public order incident is believed to have taken place between two groups along High Street East in Glossop.

The incident, which is believed to have taken place at around 9.30pm on Saturday, January 31, resulted in one man being treated at Tameside Hospital for a laceration to his face.

Anyone with any information about the alleged assault is asked to contact PC James Kennedy on 101, quoting crime reference number 4411/15.
