Glossop supermarket theft sparks police appeal

Police are appealing for information following theft from a supermarket in Glossop.

At around 9.45am on Thursday, September 17, a man entered the Tesco Store on Wrens Nest Road in the town. He filled up a shopping trolley with various items before leaving without offering payment.

The offender is described as white, 6ft tall, around 55-years-old, with a bald head. He wore glasses, a maroon coloured jumper and grey trousers.

Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.

Anyone with any information, or who saw a man matching the description above, is asked to contact PC Simon Lomas on 101, quoting crime number 39993/15.
