Appeal after parts of three cars in the Glossop area are stolen

Posted on 12th February 2018

We’re appealing for information after car parts are stolen from three vehicles in the Glossop area.

A Vauxhall Corsa, a Vauxhall Insignia and a Ford Fiesta had bonnets, lights, bumpers and grills removed from the cars while they were parked up overnight.

One incident happened between Sunday, January 28 and Monday, January 29 on the A57, as the car was parked opposite the Ladybower Inn.

Two other vehicles were targeted overnight between Tuesday, February 6 and Wednesday, February 7 on Sexton Street and in the town centre.

PCSO Brian Buller, of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team, said: “Removing the parts would take quite a bit of time and effort, so we’re making inquiries and an appeal for anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious, or have potential information about the parts and their whereabouts.

“Please be alert and report any suspicious activity that you notice. If you have access to one, park in a secure garage or on a driveway, and if not try to park in a well-lit area.”

Did you notice anything suspicious or do you have any CCTV footage near to these areas that may be of help with our inquiries?
