We are appealing for information after a car was damaged in Glossop, and making enquiries into whether other vehicles have also been targeted.
The incident is reported to have taken place sometime between 8.50pm and 9.50pm on Thursday, March 8 and to a Vauxhall Corsa parked on Wren Nest Road.
A wing mirror was knocked off and the driver’s side of the car was damaged.
Officers are also investigating reports on Facebook about a group of young people damaging vehicles in the Glossop town centre area over the course of a couple of evenings, from Wednesday, March 7.
PC Jenny Oldfield, of the Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We have been made aware of some posts on local Facebook pages about a group of youngsters damaging vehicles in the area, however we’ve only had one incident reported to us.
“If you noticed this group or anything suspicious, or if your vehicle has also been damaged but you haven’t yet reported it, please contact us as you may be able to help with our inquiries.”
