Witness appeal after boy was allegedly assaulted in Hadfield

Police are appealing for information after a boy was allegedly assaulted as he walked home from school in Hadfield.

At around 3.40pm on Tuesday, February 24, a 13-year-old boy was walking home from school with his friends when he was grabbed from behind, pushed to the floor, and kicked in the face.

The victim, who suffered swelling to his face, was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Police believe that there were a large number of people around Newshaw Lane at the time of the incident and are asking them to come forward.
