Appeal after man damages and then steals dry stone wall in Padfield

We are appealing for information after a dry stone wall belonging to the council was damaged and stolen in Padfield.

We have been contacted by High Peak Borough Council following reports of a man in a tractor driving into a dry stone wall on their land known locally as Roughfields, close to Padfield Main Road.

The man is then believed to have then loaded up the tractor with the stone that was knocked over before driving away.

The most recent theft took place between 7.20am and 7.30am on Friday, February 10.

Anyone with information about the theft, or similar thefts in recent weeks is asked to contact PCSO Brian Buller on 101, quoting occurrence number 17000084871.
