Appeal after thieves target a van in Tintwistle

We’re appealing for information after a van was targeted by thieves in Tintwistle, and reminding people to be alert.

At around 10.15pm on Tuesday, December 5 a van parked on New Road was targeted and a radio and other items were stolen.

PCSO Brian Buller, of the Hadfield and Tintwistle Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We would like to hear from anyone in the local area who may have noticed anyone, or any vehicles, acting suspiciously in the area that evening.

“We’re also reminding motorists to make sure they leave vehicles locked, and to remove any valuables and tools overnight.”
