High Peak LPU

Inspector Nick Reason
Inspector Nick Reason
Inspector for this area

This local policing unit covers the north west of the county, including large towns such as Buxton, Glossop and New Mills. It also includes small towns and villages in the Peak District such as Castleton, Edale, Furness Vale and Hayfield.

I am the Local Policing Unit Inspector for the High Peak and have responsibility for areas such as Glossop, Buxton, New Mills and Chapel-en- le-Frith.

My career with Derbyshire Constabulary started in
1996 at just 18 years old, and was posted to the response and patrol teams in Buxton, and the majority of my 22 year long career has been spent working in the High Peak area.

We have a good relationship with the High Peak community, who will work well with us and this is something I hope to continue to build upon, while working in partnership with other local agencies to keeping our area safe.

Whilst policing the High Peak offers varying challenges, I am confident that the officers who work here are as enthusiastic, passionate and committed as I am about doing the right thing for everyone who lives, works or visits the High Peak.
