Hope Valley officers want to hear your views on neighbourhood policing

Posted on 1st April 2015

Officers from the Hope Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team are encouraging residents to help set the policing profile for their community.

Sergeant Steve Johnson, PC Graham Mason and PCSO Steven Rogers are set to host their next priority meeting from 7pm on Wednesday, April 15.

The meeting, which will take place at Hope Dental Clinic on Eccles Close, is a chance for local residents to raise concerns about crime in their area with the team.

Police will then set neighbourhood priorities to focus on for the following three months, based on feedback from the public.

The current priority sees the team focusing on crime prevention and home security by carrying out reassurance patrols and boosting crime prevention knowledge in the community.

The team have also held a number of police surgeries and property marking events to encourage residents to security mark their valuables to protect them against criminals.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to put forward any issues contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team on 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
