Officers want to hear your views on neighbourhood policing

Posted on 17th January 2014

Residents in Whaley Bridge and Buxton Rural are invited to help set the policing profile for their area for the next three months.

Officers will be holding Safer Neighbourhood team governance meetings to give people the opportunity to chat to the team and to raise any issues or concerns that they may have.

The next set of meetings will be held on Monday, January 27 from 7pm at:

  •  The Great Rocks Club in Peak Dale with the Buxton Rural policing team
  •  The Mechanics Institute on Market Street with the Whaley Bridge Safer Neighbourhood Team

The teams will be on hand to offer crime prevention advice, chat to residents and listen to their views on policing in their neighbourhood.

The quarterly Safer Neighbourhood governance meetings give people the chance to set priorities for the officers to focus on to tackle any issues in the community.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to put forward any issues contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team on 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
