Police appeal to help trace owners of loose ponies in Whaley Bridge

Police in Whaley Bridge are appealing for information to help trace the owner of two ponies which were found loose in the area.

In the early hours of Tuesday, June 30, police received reports of ponies running loose on Linglongs Road and Macclesfield Road in Whaley Bridge.

The ponies, described as a 15.2hh grey gelding, and a 14hh bay mare, have since been taken to a safe place under a green yard scheme initiative to ensure that they are safe and remain off the road.

Officers are appealing to the public to help identify the owners of the animals.
