Residents in Barlborough invited to help set new policing priorities

Posted on 11th June 2015

Residents in Barlborough are being invited to help local police set upcoming priorities for the area.

The village’s Safer Neighbourhood team is hosting a community panel meeting at the Ibis Hotel on Monday, June 29 from 7pm until 8pm.

PCSO Simon Galley and PCSO Suzanne Fox will be on hand to meet with local people and discuss issues or concerns.

Feedback from the public will then be used to set policing priorities for the team to work towards for the next three months.

The team’s current priority is nuisance parking on the access only road situated on Chesterfield Road in the village.

They have been working to tackle this problem by carrying out patrols in the area and speaking to motorists about the issue; handing out Traffic Offence Reports to motorists who ignore the access only sign and distributing newsletters in the area to raise awareness of the issue and encourage motorists to park responsibly.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to have your say on policing in the area, you can submit suggestions via this link:  http://www.derbyshire.police.uk/My-Local-Police/CDivision/BolsoverSection/Clowne/submit-priorities.aspx

You can also speak to your local Safer Neighbourhood team by calling 101.
