This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Bolsover Town. It belongs to the Bolsover policing section. Bolsover is a small market town with a strong mining and historical heritage. It is located within Bolsover District Council and is approximately 6 miles from Chesterfield town centre. Bolsover has many attractions from the 17th century including the castle and buildings which now make shops and businesses in the town centre. There are also long walks which show the history of the castle and the strong mining heritage that Bolsover possesses.

  • Regular police and CAN Ranger patrols in the area
  • Use police powers to seize alcohol and disperse groups of youths.
  • Visit off licences and local pubs to make sure they were checking for ID before selling alcohol.
  • Take positive action where necessary.
  • Organise other activities for youngsters to take part in.
