Posted on 26th April 2012

Police issue warning to youngsters causing criminal damage in North Wingfield.

A bus stop on Chesterfield Road was damaged on Tuesday, April 24. Two children who caused the damage were spoken to by local officers.

PC Sarah Dolby from Clay Cross section said: “We are working together with North East Derbyshire District Council to issue the youngsters with an Acceptable Behaviour Contract. The children’s parents will also have to pay for the damage caused.

“This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and youngsters will be held responsible for their behaviour.”

Anyone with information on criminal damage or anti-social behaviour should contact Derbyshire police on the non-emergency number 101.
