Amber Valley, Bolsover District and Chesterfield area residents invited to meet local officers

Posted on 14th May 2015

Residents across Amber Valley, Bolsover District and Chesterfield are being invited to meet local officers and chat about community concerns.

Creswell Safer Neighbourhood Team is holding its community panel meeting on Monday, May 18, where local people can have their say on policing issues and help set priorities for the area.

Current priorities for the team are anti-social behaviour (ASB) and insecurities at the Model Village Miners Welfare building and nuisance motorbikes around the village.

The team will be on hand at Creswell Police Office on Elmton Road between 2.30pm and 4pm.

Other Safer Neighbourhood teams in Chesterfield division are hosting policing surgeries and crime prevention events next week for local people to chat to officers and pick up security tips.

They are taking place on:

• Tuesday, May 19 from 10am to 2pm: Hasland and St Leonard's crime prevention event at the Village Hall, Eastwood Park;
• Tuesday, May 19 from 6pm to 7pm: Tibshelf police surgery at Tibshelf Village Hall;
• Thursday, May 21 from 5pm to 7pm: Codnor police surgery at Tesco Express on High Street.

If you cannot attend an event in your area but would like to speak to a member of your local Safer Neighbourhood team, please contact them on 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
