Police appeal after alleged assault to a taxi driver in Dronfield

Police are appealing for information after a taxi driver was allegedly assaulted in Dronfield.

The motorist was driving along Church Street, near to the Green Dragon public house, just after 10pm on Sunday, May 24 when a group of people stopped the taxi before reportedly assaulting the driver.

A short time later, the same group of people allegedly assaulted the same driver at the bottom of Church Street near to the turning with Lea Road.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about either incident to come forward. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Carl Newton on 101, quoting crime number 21955/15.
