Residents in North Wingfield, Pilsley, Stonebroom and Shirland will be seeing a new face on their local Safer Neighbourhood team.
Kate Hodnett has recently taken on the role of police community support officer in the area after moving over from the Spondon Safer Neighbourhood Team in Derby.
Kate, who joined Derbyshire Constabulary in 2006, initially worked from Roe Farm Police Station with Derwent Safer Neighbourhood Team, before joining the Spondon officers in 2008.
PCSO Hodnett said: “During my time in Derby I worked closely with partner agencies, local community groups, such as NHW, schools, businesses and of course the local residents, to help improve the area for local people.
“I am really looking forward to the challenges of getting to know a new area and building on what the officers at Clay Cross have already established.
“Over the coming weeks and months I will be heading out and meeting local people to find out what community issues matter to them the most and how we can work to solve this.”
Kate will be joining colleagues Sergeant Les Rawson, PC Sarah Dolby, PC Dave Price and PCSO’s Gary Green and Matthew Turner.
