Residents in Shirland can catch a 'Coffee with a Copper'

Posted on 9th January 2017

Residents in the Shirland have the chance to catch a coffee or a cup of tea with their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team next week.

Officers are holding a surgery at Shirland Village Hall to give local people the chance to call in, meet the team and discuss any policing issues they feel are affecting their community.

The event will take place on Monday, January 16 between 11am and 1pm and free refreshments will be available.

PCSO Kate Hodnett, of the North Wingfield, Pilsley, Stonebroom and Shirland Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We’re inviting residents to pop along and see us at Shirland Village Hall and chat about any issues they think we could help with, while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

“It’s an informal drop-in session, so no need to make an appointment. We’re looking forward to meeting both new and familiar faces, and hope we’ll get an understanding of any concerns within the community.”

If you are unable to call in on the day, you can also contact the team by calling 101 or by emailing CCNT@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.

You can also follow the team on Twitter, search for @SouthEasternSNT.
