Suspended sentence for Shirebrook man who made threats to kill two other men

A man from Shirebrook has been given a suspended prison sentence after he repeatedly made threats to kill two other men to police officers.

Duncan Elmore (28), of Springfield Avenue, was arrested and subsequently charged with the offence following an incident on Alder Way, Shirebrook, on Friday, November 9.

He appeared at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Monday, November 26 and pleaded guilty.

Magistrates gave Mr Elmore an 18 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and he was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
