Our officers from the Alvaston Safer Neighbourhood Team have arrested a suspected drug dealer this morning (Thursday, December 14).

The arrest follows a search of a house in Eskdale Walk where suspected class A drugs and dealing paraphernalia were found.

A 24 year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to St Mary’s Wharf Police Station in Derby where he will be interviewed later today.

Sergeant Graham Young, who is in charge of the team, said: “The search was conducted after the team received information from the community about activity at the address.

“The action shows we will always take positive action about this type of alleged activity as we understand how disruptive it can be to communities.”
