Officers from the Alvaston Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents to come and meet them at a local cafe.

The team is holding a ‘street-meet’ at the Café in Dunhelm, Ascot Drive, Derby on Saturday, August 19 and is inviting local residents to come and discuss any issues that they feel are affecting their community.

PCSO Jill Bagley from the team, said: “As part of our duties we try and be as visible as possible out and about in the community but with the best will in the world we can’t meet everyone.

“This gives us the opportunity to be in a set place at a set time for people to come and have a chat with us should they have any concerns.

“We will even get the drinks in for anyone coming to speak to us.”

The team will at Dunhelm between 10am and noon.
