Our officers from the Alvaston Safer Neighbourhood Team are appealing for witnesses after tools were stolen from a builder’s van in Alvaston, Derby.

We believe that the van, a white Ford Transit, was broken-in to in the early hours of Sunday, May 28 whilst it was parked on London Road, near to its junction with Meadow Lane.

PCSO Rich Williams, from the team, explained: “The van was parked on a busy road leading in and out of Derby, some tools were found in the road outside the van and so we think the offenders may have been disturbed.

“This type of offence is costly and inconvenient to the victims, who not only have to replace the stolen tools, but also have their livelihood disrupted. So if anyone did see anything suspicious we would urge them to make contact with us.

If you think you can help, please call Rich on 101 quoting reference number 17000222656.

Alternatively send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website here.
