New Sergeant in charge of Safer Neighbourhood policing in Alvaston and Boulton.

We have a new Sergeant in charge of Safer Neighbourhood policing in the Derby suburbs of Alvaston and Boulton. 

32-year-old Aaron Shaw started in his new role this week on Monday, September 17 and says he is most looking forward “To targeting those in the area that cause the most harm.” 

Aaron has been with Derbyshire police since starting as a volunteer Special Constable in 2005. He has a background in Safer Neighbourhood policing having worked as a Police Community Support Officer and a Police Constable in teams in other areas of the county.

Now living in Derby with his wife, who is also a police officer, and two daughters, He said: “I am a very pro-active officer and am looking forward to joining an already tenacious team who are committed to providing re-assurance and a better quality of life to those living in the area. 

“I am committed to tackling issues at the earliest opportunity and want to work with the community as it is only with their support that we can keep crime low.”
