Our Safer Neighbourhood teams across Allenton, Alvaston, Boulton, Chellaston, Osmaston and Sinfin are out and about over the next few days, giving residents advice for Halloween.
The team have been in Alvaston this afternoon, Tuesday, October 23, talking to residents and distributing leaflets. They have been giving advice on how Halloween can be enjoyed by those who want to be out trick or treating and those residents who are worried about possible anti-social behaviour.
PCSO Stephanie Holt, explained: “Over the next few days, on the run up to Halloween, we are going to be in some set locations across the patch distributing leaflets and advice.
“We want people to enjoy Halloween but do so in a way that doesn’t cause inconvenience or worry to others”.
The team were also distributing posters to local shops who have agreed that they will not sell eggs or flour to children to try and help in stopping those products being used in Halloween ‘tricks’.
PCSOS Jill Bagley and Liam Moore are pictured here handing over a poster to staff at the Co-op store on London Road, Alvaston.
