I am Sergeant Chris Thornhill and am responsible for the Alvaston and Boulton Safer Neighbourhood Teams.

I have been a serving police officer since 2002 and previously worked from Long Eaton police station as a PC.  I was promoted in 2009 and moved to St Mary's Wharf as patrol sergeant for three years. I then worked in the custody suite for two years, before arriving as a patrol sergeant at Cotton Lane Police Station in 2015. I have gathered a lot of experience from my career to draw on when working to solve our local problems.

I was brought up in Boulton and  feel a strong connection to the area. I am committed to keeping Alvaston and Boulton safe places to live for everyone by listening to what affects your area and working with you to tackle those problems. I am committed to providing the very best service I can and will ensure my teams do the same.

My priorities are to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime keeping our community a safe and pleasant place to live and work.
