We have a new officer joining our Safer Neighbourhood teams in Alvaston and Boulton.

34-year-old PC Malcolm Martindale has joined the teams, based at Cotton Lane Police Station, having been a police officer for the last three years.

Those three years have been working in the same area responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes and working in a team tackling anti-social behaviour and drug dealing across the city.

Malcolm said: “I am really pleased to be joining the Safer Neighbourhood teams in Alvaston and Boulton. It will give me the opportunity to get to know the residents better and have an understanding of the issues that are concerning them.

“Neighbourhood policing is all about getting to grips with these issues and working with our partners to put some long term solutions in place, as well of course as arresting and dealing with those causing the problems.”

If you have any policing issues you are concerned about in the area you can make contact with Martin by calling 101 or send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website HERE.

You can also follow the work of the teams on Twitter @AlvastonSNT and @BoultonSNT
