Residents in Chellaston are being invited to the pub for an evening out and free drink by the Chellaston Safer Neighbourhood Team.
The offer is being made along with the management at the Bonnie Prince pub and restaurant in the village but despite the location, the offer only extends to tea and coffee, along with biscuits of course.
The event, being held on Monday, February 6, is part of a series of ‘street-meets’ being held by the team to encourage residents to come and talk to them about policing in the village.
PCSO Steph Holt from the team explains: “We like to be as visible as possible in the village, however it is difficult to see and be seen by everyone. This gives us the opportunity to be in a set place at a set time so if anyone would like to have a chat with us about any concerns they have in the village they can do so in a relaxed atmosphere.
“The Bonnie Prince have been great to allow us to use their restaurant and as a result of this we can offer anyone who comes to speak to us a free drink and biscuits.
“The previous events have proved popular but have been held in the daytime. This event will be held in the evening to allow those that can’t make it in the day to come along and have a chat with us”.
The team will be at the Bonnie Prince, Swarkestone Road, Chellaston between 7pm and 9pm.
