Man arrested in connection with suspicious incidents in Chellaston

Posted on 8th November 2017

This morning, Wednesday, November 8, we have arrested a man in Chellaston, Derby after a series of suspicious incidents.

Last week we reported that two girls, aged 11 and 12, had reported being followed by a man. (Further details can be found HERE).

This morning our officers went to the village after a number of reports of a man acting suspiciously who answered the description from those incidents. One of these reports claims that the man touched a 7 year-old boy on the ribs.

The officers completed a search of the area and a 19 year-old man from Sinfin, Derby was arrested on Derby Road on suspicion of assault.

The man is currently in custody and being interviewed.
