Information appeal following alleged assault on delivery driver in Chellaston

Officers are appealing for information following an alleged assault in Chellaston.

At around 3pm on Sunday, December 21 a driver was returning to his van after making a supermarket delivery to an address on Montague Way.

The driver heard the shutters at the back of the van being pulled up and after walking round to the back of the van discovered a young man in the back.

Whilst trying to get the man out of the van, the driver felt a sharp blow on the top of his head and the man ran off.

The victim describes the man as white, aged 16-17 years of age, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and of a thin build. He was wearing a silver grey tracksuit top, dark blue tracksuit bottoms.

Two other youths were hanging round and the suspect made off with them. They are described as both white and one was wearing jeans.
