Officers from our Sinfin and Osmaston Safer Neighbourhood Team have arrested a man today after a drug search on a Derby house.

The team carried out the search today (Wednesday, May 3) at a house in Ashwood Close, off Osmaston Road, under the Misuse of Drugs Act and recovered a quantity of what is believed to be a Class A drug.

A 33 year-old man, arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug, has been interviewed and released under investigation.

Sergeant Graham Young, who is in charge of the team, said: “The search was carried out as a result of community intelligence. We have visited local properties to let residents know what we have been doing and to re-assure them that we will continue to take positive action when we receive such information.”
