Police appeal after 67-year-old man is assaulted in Derby

Posted on 10th June 2015

Police investigating an alleged assault in Derby have released CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 3.25pm on Friday, June 5, an argument broke out between the victim and man on a moped following a road rage incident along Park Farm Drive in Allestree, Derby.

A second man, also on a moped, arrived and began to join in on the argument before wrestling the 67-year-old to the floor. He later attended a hospital in Ripley to have his injuries checked over.

The man was described as white, 5ft 9 tall, medium build and aged in his late teens to early twenties. He was wearing a white helmet with a grey pattern on it, brown boots, grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark coloured jumper.

He was riding a blue coloured moped with small red markings near to the forks and engine, with an 'L' plate on the mudguard.

Police have now released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
