Police in Derby have made arrests this week following a series of complaints of assaults, damage and anti-social behaviour in Allestree during the evening of Halloween.
Over 10 arrests have been made of young people aged between 15 and 19 years. They have all been interviewed, with their parents where applicable, and are now on police bail whilst enquiries continue.
Inspector Nick Daines, who is in charge of policing for the area, said: “During the evening of Halloween (October 31), police received several calls in relation to a large group of youths causing problems in the Allestree area. This included reports of assault, damage, aggressive behaviour and anti-social behaviour.
“After considerable local enquiries, we believe we have identified a number of those allegedly involved. A number of persons are now on police bail, and our enquiries will continue.
“I would urge anyone who may have information about the activities on that evening, or who may have been targeted by this group, to come forward to police. This behaviour went some distance beyond youthful high-jinks, and we are determined to demonstrate that such behaviour has consequences, and will not be tolerated.”
