The officers from our Allestree Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents to join them at a crime prevention event in the village.

The event, part of a series of ‘Street Meets’, is being held at the library, Park Farm Centre on Saturday, May 5.

Sergeant Keith Chambers is the officer in charge of the team and said: “The event is an opportunity for residents to come along, have a chat with us and discuss any issues they may have or simply just say hello.

“We will also have crime prevention advice and material to help people stop becoming victims of crime.

Allestree is a pleasant, safe place to live, we are determined to keep it that way.”

The team will be at the library between 10am and 1pm.

For more information contact them on 101 or send them a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website HERE.
