Appeal for information following theft of unique high value bike in Derby

Officers investigating a burglary in Derby are appealing for information in connection with the theft of a high value bike.

Sometime between 3pm on Saturday, November 1 and 2.50pm on Sunday, November 2 entry was gained to a secured garage on Ashover Road in Allestree.

Offenders forced a padlock on the garage and stole two bikes one of which is a Marida Matts Mountain bike.

The owner is appealing for particular help to trace the other cycle, a specialised mountain bike which is described as 4ever or 4E 653 and is the only one in the UK.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who has information about the theft or been offered a bike matching the description that they believe could be stolen.
