Man charged with drugs offences in Allestree

A 23-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences following a police visit to his property in Allestree.

On Friday, August 8, police carried out a search of a property on Middlefield Close, and found a quantity of suspected Class B drugs.

Ben Austin, of Derby, was arrested after the warrant and has now been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

He is set to appear before magistrates in South Derbyshire on Tuesday, August 26.

PC Janagal and PCSO Rafique of the Allestree Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team encourage the community to report any activity where they suspect drug dealing might be taking place.
