Posted on 10th November 2016

Police in Chaddesden are appealing for information after three girls were subject to a sexual exposure in the suburb of Derby.

The incident happened at around 8.20am on Monday, November 7.  The girls aged 14 and 15 years were walking to school down Chapel Lane from Wood Road behind the Steamin’ Billy pub when they saw a man masturbating.

He is described as mixed race, muscular, around 5ft 9 inches tall, aged late 40s to early 50s, with a dark but greying beard. He was wearing blue jeans that were described as being tight around the thigh area due to his muscular legs and a black hooded top with the hood up.

Inspector Nick Daines, who is in charge of policing in the area, said: “This is a worrying incident and was clearly upsetting to the young girls that had to witnesses it and so I would urge anyone with any information to contact us.

“Although we have had similar incidents at this location in the past we believe this to be an isolated offence. The Safer Neighbourhood team are aware of the incident and have increased their patrols in the area.”
