Chaddesden Police invite residents for 'Costa Coffee with a Cop' and chat about joining their ranks.

Recruitment One of our recent group of recruits.

The officers from our Chaddesden Safer Neighbourhood Team have issued an invite to come and have a chat with them about policing issues and recruitment.

The team is holding two ‘Street-Meet’ events at the Costa Coffee cafe on the Wyvern Centre, Derby, Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 and is inviting residents to join them for a drink and chat.

PC Mark Atterbury from the team explained: “We often hold this type of event to give residents the opportunity to come and have a chat with us, in an informal setting, about any policing issues they may have.

“On these two occasions we will also be available to talk to anyone who has an interest in applying for the position of a police officer during our current recruitment campaign.

“Being a police officer is a very rewarding career, however we realise it isn’t for everyone, so this gives those who may think they are interested, an opportunity to come and speak to a serving officer, discuss the demands and perhaps dispel some of the concerns that people may have.

“We will even get the drinks in for those that come and speak to us.”

The team will be at the Costa between 12 midday and 2pm on the Friday and between 1pm and 3pm on the Saturday.
